    A leading real estate brand and property developer of North-East India, SM Developers specializes in residential, commercial/retail, hotel, and PPP projects. SM Infrastructure (P) Ltd is the construction and realty arm of the Guwahati-based SM Group that has been handling various businesses since it was founded by Late Mohan Lalji Jain in 1958.

    An outstanding visionary, humble human being, and a great philanthropist Late ML Jain believed sustainable and overall growth of the society as his guiding business philosophy.

  • Expansion over the years

    SM Group is a family-driven professionally-managed business house that started as a partnership firm Shewprasad Mohanlal by Late ML Jain with primary interests in Steel and Finance. The group then diversified across Steel distribution, Met Coke Manufacturing, Road Science, Roofing sheets, Real Estate, Infrastructure & Steel designing with operations spread primarily across North East along with some other parts of India.

  • Journeying into the realty sector

    With the ever growing business empire, SM Developers ventured into real estate development. The company has a strong senior management team with a combined experience of over 200 years in building superior quality affordable housing and commercial requirements in the North East.

    Experienced in developing landmarks measuring over a million sq.ft in the region, SM Developers is the proud owner of two 5-star properties: Novotel Guwahati and Taj Vivanta Shillong.

    Operations of SM Developers are spread across Guwahati, Nagaon, Shillong and Gangtok.

A visionary with over 45 years of business experience in diverse industries like Steel, Edible Oil, Packaging. His primary areas of focus are Goal Setting & Corporate Governance. He was Former Chairman of Federation of Industries & Commerce for the NE Region, Director of Apollo Hospital, Guwahati and President of Marwari Maternity Hospital. He is also currently a member of the Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission.

A Post Graduate in Information Systems from De Montfort University, UK and over 17 years of business experience across the world. He has given the SM Group a unified structure with group ethos and also led the successful diversification into real estate & hospitality. His key focus areas being Projects, Finance, Branding, IT and Team Building. A board member of Construction Skill Development Council of India, he has helped SM Group grow their steel distribution by 500% in the past 7 years
